Baseball players quickly discover that they have a favorite or even a lucky bat. As youngsters progress, their needs change as they grow in stature. Length and weight, metal or wood are just some of the options. I generally wanted a solid wood bat but everyone is different. Each person needs to try different bats and see what works for them. Senior League baseball bats have certain factors to consider.

Considering what you like, there are many options. They are made for players in all ranges from little league to professional. They can be made of woods or metal and this may be determined by your league. Try bats in different sizes and lengths.They vary and have to be within certain guidelines, depending on the league.

Some batters feel they can get a faster swing and harder hit with lighter bats. Others feel that a heavier bat will send the ball further. It really boils down to what ever gives you the best and most consistent swing that makes good contact with the ball. The real answer will be in the accuracy and distance achieved on each swing. If the bat feels right and you are getting results, that is all we need to know.

Remember to take your time and enjoy finding that LUCKY bat.The wrong one can mess up a good hitter. In fact, when choosing, you should give it the real test by actually hitting some balls. I remember as a kid… having a favorite TEAM bat. One game, when it was my first time at bat, I went to pick up my LUCKY bat. Oh no, it was not there.
